Interfacial Electronic Tuning of Pt-Co3O4 Enables Highly Efficient Electrocatalytic Hydrogenation of Phenol
Abstract
A Pt-Co3O4 electrocatalyst, optimized through metal-support interactions, efficiently catalyzes the transformation of phenol to ketone-alcohol (KA) oil, achieving 71.4% Faradaic efficiency, 93.2% product yield, and 40 hours of stability. In situ Raman spectroscopic analysis confirms that the promoted adsorption and activation of aromatic ring over Pt-Co3O4 is responsible for the superior ECH activities.
