Hydrogen bonds in complexes of noble gases with the H(HCB 11 F 11 ) carborane acid -DFT calculations

Abstract

The noble gases when interact with the H(HCB11F11) carborane acid, that is classified in several studies as the strongest acid, lose the part of their electron charge. Hence the noble gases act as Lewis base units in complexes formed. These complexes are linked by interactions which possess numerous characteristics of the hydrogen bond.
