Delicate Heterocyclic π-Extension in MR-TADF Emitters: Balancing kRISC Enhancement and Emission Narrowing

Abstract

Herein, a comparative investigation into the π-extension effect on a MR framework was conducted via heteroatom doping engineering. The as-synthesized emitters CzBNNO and CzBNBO both exhibited EQEs > 30%. However, they differ significantly in SRCT/LRCT dominance, which causes distinct discrepancies in spectral broadening and emission peak positions.
