Harnessing heteroatomic S/P coordination effects of FeCo dual-atomic catalysts for enhanced ORR performance

Abstract

Secondary coordination environments significantly govern ORR performance of dual-atom catalysts, yet their regulatory effects demand further clarification. Herein, tuneable CoNx+FeNy dual-atom moieties are fabricated by incorporating P/S atoms into outer coordination shell of carbon-based FeCo system, which modulate electronic asymmetry of dual-metal sites and effectively boosts the ORR catalytic activity.
