Identification of an Air-and Moisture-Tolerant MOF-Based C-H Amination Catalyst

Abstract

PCN-222(Co), a mesoporous Zr-based cobalt-porphyrin MOF, catalyzes benzylic C-H amination under air, with added water, and with limiting C-H substrate. Direct comparison to molecular Coporphyrins implicates a protective framework microenvironment, rather than linker electronics, as the origin of this air and water tolerance.
