Cooperative Organelle Targeting from a Single Molecular Module: Sterically Hindered Phenol–Diaminopyridine–Functionalized Cycloalkynes for Mitochondria–Endoplasmic Reticulum Localization

Abstract

A modular approach to dual organelle targeting is achieved using sterically hindered phenol–diaminopyridine–oxaazacyclononyne (SHP–DAP–OACN) thiourea-linked hybrids. Hybrids retain high reactivity in strain-promoted azide–alkyne cycloaddition, providing fluorescent triazoles with mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum localization, suggesting SHP–DAP as a transferable module for organelle-directed probes.
