Synergistic Enhancement of BiFeO3 Photocathodes’ Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting Performance via Potassium Doping and Surface Platinum Modification
Abstract
BiFeO3 (BFO) is promising material for photoelectrochemical water splitting, yet its performance is limited by photogenerated charge recombination and issues. In this work, we fabricate a K-BFO/Pt photocathode via synergistic K+ doping and Pt cocatalyst modification. This tactic enhances carrier behavior, achieving nearly two-fold photocurrent gain over BFO.
