Joule-Heating Synthesis of High-Entropy Oxides as Efficient Catalysts for Electrochemical Methanol Oxidation
Abstract
Ultrafast Joule heating enables the synthesis of high-entropy oxides for efficient methanol oxidation electrocatalysis. The MnFeCoNiCr-1600K catalyst exhibits reduced anodic potential and enhanced kinetics. Operando studies reveal methanol-induced surface reconstruction and structured interfacial water, enabling efficient CO₂ production and energy-efficient hydrogen generation.
