Interfacial charge redistribution in hollow Fe3C/MoN heterostructures promotes bifunctional electrocatalysis for alkaline zinc–air batteries
Abstract
A hollow Fe3C/MoN composite is developed as a bifunctional electrocatalyst. The work function difference is proposed to generate a built-in field for interfacial charge redistribution, boosting ORR/OER activity (E1/2 = 0.854 V, η10 = 304 mV). The zinc–air battery delivers 138.1 mW cm−2 with 200 h stability, while the flexible zinc–air battery performs reliably under bending.
