Reassessing Host Selection in Cl-Rich Argyrodite Electrolytes: The Stability–Conductivity Trade-Off under Industrial Dry-Room Conditions
Abstract
Under simulated industrial dry-room conditions, Cl-rich argyrodite Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6 shows better structural retention, higher Li-ion conductivity retention, lower H2S release and more stable cell performance than Li5.5PS4.5Cl1.5 with highest pristine Li-ion conductivity, owing to a pre-existing amorphous LiCl surface layer. These results refine host selection criteria for Cl-rich argyrodite electrolytes.
