Sb3+-doped indium-based halides with near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield and circularly olarized luminescence

Abstract

Sb3+ doping activates efficient self-trapped exciton emission in chiral 0D indium halides (R/S-3AP)2InCl7:x%Sb3+, yielding broadband yellow emission (585 nm) with near-unity photoluminescence quantum yields(99.9% ± 0.1%). Chirality transfer generates mirror-image circularly polarized luminescence with |glum| up to 5.0 × 10−3.
