Bifunctional Tin Telluride Electrocatalysts for Oxygen Evolution and Reduction Reactions

Abstract

SnTe octahedral microcrystals have been investigated for electrocatalytic oxygen evolution (OER) and reduction (ORR) reactions. SnTe exhibits remarkable activity for OER with overpotentials of 340 mV (alkaline) and 365 mV (neutral). It also shows excellent ORR onset potential of 0.83 V in alkaline pH, with high current density and long-term stability.
