Corrosion-Assisted Heterogeneous Nucleation for CoNiFe Layered Double Hydroxides toward High-Current Methanol Oxidation

Abstract

A corrosion-assisted strategy enables in situ growth of CoNiFe LDH on nickel foam for high-current-density methanol oxidation. Co incorporation modulates the electronic structures of Ni and Fe, regulates oxygen vacancies and enhances methanol adsorption. The catalyst delivers 1 A cm -2 at 1.37 V for methanol oxidation with 120 h stability.
