Continuous-flow electrochemical production of H2O2 in a gas diffusion electrode microreactor
Abstract
A microfluidic electrochemical reactor equipped with a gas diffusion cathode continuously produced up to 22.3 mM H2O2, with ∼88% faradaic efficiency and an energy consumption of 5.1 kWh kg−1. This performance surpasses current membraneless electrochemical H2O2 production processes, eliminating the need for a membrane or separator while maintaining high efficiency.
