Crystal structure control of RuCuRhIrPt high-entropy alloy nanoparticles with a face-centered cubic or hexagonal close-packed phase
Abstract
RuCuRhIrPt high-entropy alloy nanoparticles (HEA NPs) with either a face-centered cubic (fcc) or hexagonal close-packed (hcp) phase were selectively synthesized for the first time via a polyol reduction method and a thermal annealing route. The fcc RuCuRhIrPt HEA NPs exhibited superior electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance compared with their hcp counterparts.
