Interfacial regulation of CO2 electroreduction via CuAu nanoclusters decorated on hierarchically restructured bismuth nanoarchitectures

Abstract

Interfacial electronic modulation enables selective CO₂ electroreduction to formate. Ultrasmall CuAu nanoclusters decorated on hierarchically restructured Bi nanoarchitectures induce charge redistribution and optimize *OCHO stabilization. The CuAuNCs/HR-Bi catalyst achieves 94% Faradaic efficiency at −0.8 V vs RHE with enhanced kinetics and 24 h durability, outperforming pristine Bi.
