RCSA-Based Relative Stereochemical Analysis for Polar Molecules in PBLG Liquid Crystalline Medium

Abstract

¹³C RCSA-based stereochemical analysis in commercially available PBLG medium is enabled for polar molecules by introducing THF-d₈ and THF-d₈/DMSO-d₆ solvent systems. This overcomes solubility limitations of CDCl₃, which had been the only PBLG-compatible solvent. Successful validation on parthenolide, dexamethasone, and sucrose demonstrated reliable and enhanced stereochemical differentiation, expanding the application scope of RCSA analysis.
