Lithium-induced reconstruction of Li4Ti5O12 for acidic H2O2 production via two-electron water oxidation

Abstract

Li+ leaching triggers electrochemical reconstruction of Li4Ti5O12 spinel into TiO2 rutile on Ti foil. This phase transformation preserves structural integrity, enabling stable H2O2 production at 74.69 μM h-1 cm-2 for 120 hours in acidic electrolyte through 2e- water oxidation.
