GeAsP: a new two-dimensional layered material for highly efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction

Abstract

A new layered GeAsP crystals was synthesized for GeAsP/CN heterojunctions to overcome charge-transfer bottlenecks in CO2 reduction. Driven by an internal electric field, the Type-I heterojunction enhances light absorption and carrier separation, achieving a CO yield of 78.89 μmol g-1 h-1. This provides a novel strategy for high-performance solar-to-fuel conversion.
