Enantioselective Pd&Cu-Catalyzed Coupling of Imine Esters with gem-Difluorinated Cyclopropanes

Abstract

This work details a Pd/Cu-cocatalyzed coupling of imine esters with gem-difluorinated cyclopropanes to access enantiomerically enriched α-quaternary 2-fluoroallylic 2H-pyrroles. The bimetallic catalyst system demonstrates a broad substrate scope and high enantioselectivity. Furthermore, the synthetic utility of this methodology is highlighted by the diverse transformations of the products into various valuable N-heterocyclic scaffolds.
