PLATFORM UPDATE:
We present a natural product-inspired approach for designing an anti-epileptic molecule. The designer molecule is composed of major skeletal unit diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane, which is a part of many alkaloids and an amino acid conjugated to it. This system could spatially mimic natural products and block sodium channels, thereby imparting anti-epileptic properties.
