Built-In Electric Field Triggered Electron Transfer for Selective Singlet Oxygen Generation with Intrinsic Chemiluminescence

Abstract

Here, a built-in electric field (BIEF)-driven strategy has been proposed for the selective generation of singlet oxygen (1O2) via electron transfer-mediated in Eu-CuO@PNDs heterojunction, featuring intrinsic chemiluminescence (CL). Taking electron-rich active pharmaceuticals (scopoletin) as an example, the potential application of this 1O2-dependent CL system was evaluated. This work provides a novel strategy for 1O2 generation and CL amplification via BIEF mediated electron transfer.
