Molecular engineering of ionic organic phototheranostic agents for NIR-II imaging-guided synergistic phototherapy
Abstract
We develop ionic small-molecule phototheranostics by molecular engineering of positive charges and hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity balance. The optimized agent, 2PyI, achieves balanced amphiphilicity, enabling efficient NIR-II emission, reactive oxygen species generation, and photothermal conversion. It facilitates high-resolution NIR-II imaging-guided synergistic photodynamic/photothermal therapy.
