Electrooxidation of veratryl alcohol to veratraldehyde by Pd–Ni(OH)2 hybrid nanoarrays via interfacial engineering
Abstract
Highly dispersed Pd species anchored on Ni(OH)2 catalyze selective electrooxidation of veratryl alcohol to veratraldehyde, achieving a faradaic efficiency of >95% and a productivity of 133 µmol cm−2 h−1. The interfacial Pd–O–Ni bonding optimizes the d-band center, significantly promoting the electrooxidation kinetics and selectivity.
