Amide linkage engineering in phthalocyanine-based covalent organic frameworks for enhanced photocatalytic CO2 reduction
Abstract
Rising CO2 emissions demand sustainable solutions. This work develops a phthalocyanine-based COF (AM-COF) via post-synthetic modification of imine to amide linkages. AM-COF shows enhanced CO2-to-CO conversion (33 mmol•g -1 •h -1 , 91% selectivity), tripling the performance of pristine IM-COF. Mechanistic studies revealed the amide linkages promote charge separation, offering new design strategies for efficient COF photocatalysts.
