Boosting Oxygen Evolution Reaction by Bulk-Confined Zn Doping in NiFe-LDH Anchored on Stainless Steel Foam

Abstract

We design a hierarchical structure Zn@NiFe-LDH catalyst confining Zn to the bulk to prevent surface site blocking. Bulk Zn doping electronically modulates the active sites, significantly enhancing OER kinetics (266 mV at 100 mA cm-2) and outstanding stability, whereas surface-exposed Zn degrades performance.
