4,5-Diazido-6-nitropyridazin-3(2H)-one: a versatile nitrogen-rich compound for multifaceted energetic applications

Abstract

A nitrogen-rich energetic compound, 4,5-diazido-6-nitropyridazin-3(2H)-one, was synthesized via a simple route. Its high density, good detonation performance, acceptable thermal stability, moderate sensitivities, and compatibility with common oxidizers underscore its significance as a promising alternative for initiators, propellants, and advanced pyrotechnic applications.
