Acid-Induced "Turn-On" Fluorescence of β-Aminoacrylate-based Molecule and Polymers Toward Anti-Counterfeiting Applications

Abstract

A fluorescence “turn-on” phenomenon was observed in the β-aminoacrylate-based low-molecular motif of methyl-3-(propylamino)acrylate and its polymers in the presence of acid, which catalyzes the units to form dihydropyridine derivatives. This unique feature could be applied in anti-counterfeiting patterns.
