A key descriptor for corrosion engineering of NiFe-LDH: unlocking peak performance by managing Fe-ion concentration
Abstract
Corrosion engineering represents a scalable strategy for fabricating NiFe-LDH electrodes for the OER. However, the ambiguous growth mechanism hinders precise synthetic control. We elucidate the dynamic evolution of corrosion products, identifying the Fe-ion concentration as a key descriptor governing the reaction pathway. This study provides critical theoretical guidance for parameter regulation in industrial-scale electrode production.
