Synthesis of S-alkyl sulfilimines via ring-opening sulfilimination of sulfonium salts

Abstract

An efficient ring-opening sulfilimination of sulfonium salts with sulfenamides has been developed, enabling the preparation of S-alkyl sulfilimines in moderate to good yields under transition-metal-free conditions. This methodology exhibits operational simplicity, broad substrate scope, and functional group compatibility. Additionally, the versatility of this protocol is demonstrated by gram-scale synthesis and further functionalization of the products.
