J-aggregates of ethene-bridged aza-BODIPY dimers for bright NIR-II bioimaging and efficient photothermal therapy

Abstract

An ethene-bridged PPAB dimer (Bis-PPAB) was synthesized and formulated into nanoparticles (Bis-PPAB NPs), which exhibit a J-aggregation redshift to 1084 nm, enabling NIR-II imaging-guided photothermal therapy.
