Tuning the Performance of Zinc Hexacyanoferrate Cathodes via Ferrocyanide/Ferricyanide Precursor Selection for High-Efficiency Zinc-Ion Storage

Abstract

Prussian blue analogs (PBAs) are promising zinc-ion battery cathodes. This study synthesized ZnHCF from Na₄[Fe(CN)₆], K₃[Fe(CN)₆], and K₄[Fe(CN)₆] precursors. K₃[Fe(CN)₆]-derived ZnHCF exhibited minimal water/alkali residue and superior cyclability (70.5% retention after 800 cycles), providing insights for optimizing PBAs-based cathodes.
