A dual-strike strategy against glycolytic and mitochondrial metabolism for potentiated mild photothermal therapy

Abstract

A dual-strike strategy was developed employing mitochondriatargeted photothermal agent to concurrently suppress glycolysis and disrupt oxidative phosphorylation. This approach induced ATP depletion and inhibited heat shock protein expression, thereby significantly potentiating the therapeutic efficacy of mild photothermal therapy.
