Cerium vanadate hollow sphere-mediated polysulfide immobilization and conversion toward lithium–sulfur batteries

Abstract

Cerium vanadate (CeVO4) hollow spheres with abundant active sites and exceptional electrocatalytic activity effectively trap polysulfides and enhance the solid–liquid conversion kinetics. Accordingly, the designed CeVO4 as a multifunctional sulfur host boosts lithium–sulfur batteries to deliver high reversible capacity and excellent cycling stability.
