PtIr Nanowires for Efficient Electrochemical Ammonia Oxidation
Abstract
PtIr nanowires (NWs) are successfully synthesized via wet chemistry and display enhanced ammonia oxidation reaction (AOR) performance, with the mass activity of 124 mA mg−1 at 0.6 V, which is 2.2 times that of Pt/C. This outstanding AOR catalytic performance of PtIr NWs is attributed to high electrochemical surface areas as well as the tuned electronic structure from the PtIr alloy composite and the nanowire structure.
