Metal- and photocatalyst-free CF3-modification of N-containing fusion skeletons in photo-flow chemistry

Abstract

Herein, we present an external photocatalyst-free protocol for the synthesis of trifluoromethylated, nitrogen-containing fused-ring scaffolds under photo-flow conditions. Based on a series of mechanistic studies, we propose two plausible reaction pathways that highlight the interaction between the substrate and the trifluoromethylating reagent.
