Chiral organization of tetraphenylethylenes mediated by multivalent hydrogen bonding
Abstract
Tetraphenylethylene (TPE)-based chiral supramolecular assemblies with chiroptical activity were constructed via the cooperative polymerization of multivalent hydrogen-bonding monomers. By employing these fluorescent supramolecular assemblies as energy donors and introducing Nile red (NiR) as the acceptor, an aqueous artificial light-harvesting system was successfully established by using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB).
