Hexaazatrinaphthylene Based Near-infrared Photothermal Organic-Small-Molecule for Efficient Photo-Thermo-Electric Conversion

Abstract

5,6,11,12,17,18-Hexaazatrinaphthylene-2,8,14-tricarboxylic acid (HTA) exhibits broad absorption (300–1500 nm) and a high PCE (> 60%), attributed to the formation of stable triplet diradical via intramolecular charge transfer. Remarkably, the HTA@TEC1-12701 device outputs 211.9 mV under 1 Sun and 930 mV under 4 Suns, sufficient to drive a small fan.
