Temperature-Induced Phase Transformation of Cobalt Selenide Optimizes Spin States for Enhanced Oxygen Electrocatalysis

Abstract

The temperature-induced phase transformation from cobalt diselenide to tricobalt tetraselenide modulates the spin state of cobalt ions, which consequently reduces the reaction energy barrier, ultimately enhancing the catalytic performance for both the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR).
