Electronic Structure Modulation of β-Ni(OH)2 Nanocatalyst via La Doping for Boosting Urea Electrooxidation

Abstract

We report a substantially enhances the UOR performance of lanthanum (La) doped β-Ni(OH)2 catalysts via a one-step rare-earth element doping strategy. The incorporation of La into the Ni(OH)2 lattice provide additional electron states derived from La 4f orbitals, enhancing electron transfer and facilitating urea adsorption-activation, thus enhancing the UOR catalytic performance.
