A Type of B←N-embedded Molecule Used as Cathode Interlayer Enables Enhanced Open-circuit Voltage

Abstract

A B←N-embedded molecule with backbone dipole moment is developed to be applied as the cathode interlayer (CIL) in organic solar cells. Interfacial dipoles are rasied by the polar molecule and Femi level of active layer can be lowered to effectively remove the contact barrier and elevate the built-in potential. Thus, the open-circuit voltage can be significantly enhanced.
