Multi-layered porous poly(lactic acid) films with Integrated RGD biofunctionalization and tunable architecture for cell culture

Abstract

Poly (lactic acid) multi-layered porous films were prepared by inverse emulsion-breath figure method. The porous morphology of the films, including the honeycomb-structured surface and the foam-like structure of the bulk, could be dynamically tailored. By combining one-step loading of functional additives with the multi-layered porous architecture, the films exhibited favorable performance in cell culture applications.
