One-pot Synthesis of Sulfonyl 3,6-Diarylpyridazines via Tandem Condensation of α-Sulfonyl Ketones with Methyl Ketones

Abstract

The tandem condensation of α-sulfonyl ketones and methyl ketones produces diverse sulfonyl pyridazines in a yield of 70%-84% by one-pot Riley oxidation, Knovenagel condensation, and sequential dehydrative imine formation.
