Dual photoredox/palladium-catalyzed three-component reaction for the synthesis of trifluoromethylated allylic alcohols

Abstract

An effective three-component reaction using simple and easily obtained cyclic vinyl carbonates, olefins and CF3SO2Na under dual photoredox/palladium catalysis was documented for the synthesis of trifluoromethylated allylic alcohols bearing quaternary carbon centers with high stereoselectivity.
