Visible-Light-Catalyzed Decarboxylation of Aryl acetic acids for the Construction of Aromatic Aldehydes

Abstract

We have developed a novel strategy for the synthesis of aromatic aldehydes compounds through a visible-light-catalyzed decarboxylation oxidation reaction under mild conditions. Significantly, The current protocol tolerates a variety of functional groups, And the aromatic aldehyde products are easily derivatized to other valuable functional building blocks.
