Piezo-Photocatalytic Treatment of Acetaminophen Contaminated Wastewater Using Fe0.33V2O5
Abstract
A Fe0.33V2O5 based piezoelectric photocatalytic system was developed. Two distinct iron vanadate structures (Fe0.33V2O5 and Fe2V4O13) were synthesized through different annealing temperatures. The Fe0.33V2O5 obtained at 250°C exhibited superior piezoelectric performance compared to Fe2V4O13 due to structural differences. Fe0.33V2O5-250°C (FVO-250oC)demonstrated enhanced carrier separation efficiency and broad light absorption range, achieving 90% acetaminophen degradation within 40 minutes through efficient piezo-photocatalytic synergy. PL and electrochemical tests proved FVO-250°C moves charges better than other catalysts. PFM tests clearly showed FVO-250°C has much stronger piezoelectricity than FVO-450°C.
