Photoredox-catalyzed radical fluorosulfonylation of allyl sulfones†
Abstract
Despite the significant advances in developing various approaches to access sulfonyl fluorides, which complement the traditional chloride–fluoride exchange strategy using corresponding sulfonyl chlorides, there is still a lack of reported alternative methods for the construction of allyl sulfonyl fluorides. Herein we describe a straightforward and one-step strategy to synthesize allyl sulfonyl fluorides, which were conventionally synthesized in 3–4 steps. This visible-light-induced fluorosulfonylation approach features a wide substrate scope with good functional group tolerance.
