A 3D rigid Mn-MOF heterogeneous catalyst for thioether oxidation, cyanosilylation and Knoevenagel condensation†
Abstract
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted more and more attention in the field of heterogeneous catalytic materials due to their rich active sites and porosity. Under solvothermal conditions, 3D MOF{[Mn2(b-6-mpbt)(HCOO)2]·1.5CH3OH}n (1) (H2b-6-mpbt = 5,5′-bis(6-methylpyridin-2-yl)-1H,2′H-3,3′-bis(1,2,4-triazole)) and its bulk particles (1′) were successfully synthesized. 1′ exhibits excellent thermal stability and chemical stability, and has good catalytic potential as a heterogeneous catalyst in the thioether oxidation reaction, cyanosilylation reactions and Knoevenagel condensation reaction. More importantly, 1′ can be recycled for 5 reaction cycles as a heterogeneous catalyst, and the activity does not decrease significantly. These findings not only pave the way for the construction of nanoporous MOFs, but also prove the application prospect of Mn-MOFs with multiple catalytic activities.
