Guanosine-containing nucleopeptide self-assembles at the Hoogsteen face to act as a peroxidase mimetic
Abstract
Guanosine containing self-assembling nucleopeptides utilize the Hoogsteen face for hydrogen bonding interactions when forming nanofibers. Additionally, these nucleopeptides can promote the oxidation of ABTS in the presense of hydrogen peroxide either with or without a cofactor hemin present, thus showing that self-assembling nucleopeptides can act as perodixase mimetics.
