Microwave-assisted Pd-catalyzed B–N cross-coupling for efficient functionalization of the carbaborate [CB11H12]

Abstract

A highly efficient Pd-catalyzed B–N coupling of [12-I-CB11H11] with amides and amines has been developed, enabling efficient access to nitrogen-functionalized carbaborate derivatives. The method proceeds under mild conditions with broad substrate scope, high yields, and minimal dehalogenation, offering a versatile platform for advanced material applications.
